Hinter dem Projekt 4 Strings steht zum einen der holländische Produzent Carlo Resoort, der u.a. als "Carlos" schon mal einen Clubhit hatte, zum anderen der DJ Jan de Vos. Zusammen gelang ihnen mit 4 Strings der Durchbruch. Angefangen mit der sehr verspielten Nummer "Daytime" im Jahre 2000 und dem riesen Clubhit "Into the night" ein Jahr später, entwickelte sich der Sound immer mehr hin zum Vocaltrance.
