The Twilight Sad sind eine Ende 2003 gegründete schottische Shoegaze- beziehungsweise Post Rock-Band aus Kilsyth, Schottland, in der Nähe von Glasgow. Während ihr Debütalbum post-rock und post-punk mit shoegaze und folk Elementen mischte, zeigten sie sich zuletzt stärker vom frühen krautrock beeinflußt.
