Jay Jon Christopher Smith (born in Helsingborg, Sweden on April 29, 1981) is a Swedish singer and guitarist with English ancestry. He won the Swedish Idol 2010 title,[1] beating Minnah Karlsson in the December 10, 2010 final[2] in the Ericsson Globe theater. Jay Smith also plays in the band Von Benzo, that has one album released.

During Idol 2010, he created controversy announcing that he had smoked marijuana at one point during the program series. Read more on Last.fm
