Chumbawamba ist eine britische Popband aus Leeds.

Geschichte

Die Band wurde 1982 von Boff Whalley, Danbert Nobacon und einer Person names "Midge" gegründet. In der Zusammensetzung veröffentlichten sie einen Titel auf der Sampler "Bullshit Detector 2" (Crass Records) Noch im selben Jahr schlossen sich Lou Watts und Dunstan Bruce der Band an.

Ihre erste Single erschien auf ihrem eigenen Label Agit-Prop. Der britische Radioguru John Peel spielte sie in seiner Show und bot der Band insgesamt 2 Sessions an. Read more on Last.fm
