Giuseppe Domenico Scarlatti (* 26. Oktober 1685 in Neapel, Italien; † 23. Juli 1757 in Madrid, Spanien) war ein italienischer Komponist.

Domenico Scarlatti, geboren im gleichen Jahr wie Johann Sebastian Bach und Georg Friedrich Händel, war der Sohn des zu seiner Zeit äußerst bekannten und sehr produktiven Komponisten Alessandro Scarlatti. Ebenso wie sein älterer Bruder Pietro Filippo Scarlatti ergriff auch Domenico den Beruf des Tonsetzers; seine ersten Opern wurden bereits ab 1703 in Neapel aufgeführt. Read more on Last.fm
