The Offspring ist eine US-amerikanische Punk-Rock-Band aus West Garden Grove, Orange County in Kalifornien. 1984 beschlossen Bryan „Dexter“ Holland und Greg Kriesel nach einem Konzert von Social Distortion, selbst eine Band zu gründen. Diese nannten sie Manic Subsidal. Kevin Wasserman stieg als Gitarrist ein. Erste Auftritte gab es in San Francisco und Santa Cruz. 1986 benannte sich die Band in The Offspring (Engl. „Die Nachkommen“) um. Im Read more on Last.fm
