The Go-Betweens sind eine der in der Independent-Musik international einflussreichsten australischen Pop-Bands. Sie wurde 1977 in Brisbane von Robert Forster (Gitarre, Gesang) und Grant McLennan (Gitarre, Gesang) gegründet, und löste sich nach dem Tode McLennans im Jahre 2006 auf.
