Korn (meist KoЯn geschrieben) ist eine 1993 gegründete Metalband. Sie hat ihre Wurzeln in Bakersfield, Kalifornien (Vereinigte Staaten) und gilt als Mitbegründer des Nu Metal.

Die Anfänge (1993–1995)
Korn haben ihren Ursprung in der Freundschaft zwischen Reginald Arvizu und Brian Welch, die schon früh ein gemeinsames Hobby, nämlich das Gitarrespielen, pflegten. Beide beschlossen, eine eigene Band zu gründen und überredeten im Folgenden James Shaffer mit einzusteigen, da sie als Jugendliche seine langen Haare passend fanden. Read more on Last.fm
