Nine Inch Nails (engl. für „Neun-Zoll-Nägel“, abgekürzt NIИ) wurde 1988 in Cleveland, Ohio (USA) von Trent Reznor gegründet – nicht als herkömmliche Band, sondern als Musikprojekt, das ausschließlich der Realisierung seiner musikalischen Ideen dient. Im Studio sind weitere Musiker und Tontechniker lediglich als Assistenten gefragt, da Reznor die meisten Instrumente selbst einspielt. Auf Konzertbühnen unterstützen ihn weitere Musiker, wodurch Nine Inch Nails nur in der Live-Umgebung als Band angesehen werden kann. Read more on Last.fm
