Gerald Joseph „Gerry“ Mulligan (* 6. April 1927 in New York, † 20. Januar 1996 in Darien (Connecticut)) war ein US–amerikanischer Jazzmusiker (Baritonsaxophon), Arrangeur und Komponist.

Leben

Mulligan wurde im New Yorker Stadtteil Queens als jüngster von vier Söhnen geboren, zog aber mit der Familie (der Vater war Ingenieur) häufig um. Er lernte und spielte Ende der 30er Jahre in Schul-Orchestern Klarinette und Tenorsaxophon, außerdem spielte er Klavier. Read more on Last.fm
