Die Swans sind eine New Yorker Band, die häufig der No Wave zugeordnet wird. Die Stücke sind geprägt von Monotonie, einer treibenden Rhythmik und dem ganz eigenen Gitarrenspiel Norman Westbergs. Allerdings enthalten spätere Alben und insbesondere "the burning world" ruhigere und sphärische Stücke.

Bandgeschichte
