The Beautiful South war eine britische Pop-Band, die Ende der 1980er Jahre gegründet wurde und seitdem zahlreiche Erfolge in den Hitparaden verzeichnen konnte.

Die Band wurde 1988 vom Sänger Paul D. Heaton und dem Schlagzeuger Dave Hemingway gegründet, die zuvor gemeinsam in der Gruppe The Housemartins aktiv waren.
1991 gewann die Band für die Single A Little Time den Brit Award in der Kategorie "Bestes britisches Video". Read more on Last.fm
