Die Indigo Girls sind Amy Ray und Emily Saliers, ein US-amerikanisches Folk-Rock-Duo aus Atlanta, Georgia.
Die beiden Frauen lernten sich schon in der Grundschule in DeKalb County, außerhalb von Decatur bzw. Atlanta im US-Bundesstaat Georgia, kennen. Erste gemeinsame Auftritte absolvierten sie später in ihren High-School-Jahren unter den Bandnamen B-Band und Saliers and Ray.

Nach dem Ende ihrer jeweiligen High-School-Zeit gingen sie fort zum Studieren, kehrten aber alsbald heim und trafen sich an der Emory University in Atlanta wieder. Read more on Last.fm
