Andrew Bird (* 11. Juli 1973 in Chicago) ist ein US-amerikanischer Musiker, Songwriter und Multi-Instrumentalist. Er lebt in seiner Geburtsstadt Chicago und auf einer Farm nahe Elizabeth im Nordwesten von Illinois. Er spielt Violine, Gitarre, Mandoline und Glockenspiel und ist ein versierter Kunstpfeifer. Waren seine frühen Alben noch stark vom Swing und Jazz der 30er Jahre geprägt, gilt Bird spätestens seit seinem Werk „The Swimming Hour“ (2001) als einer der originellsten Singer/Songwriter Amerikas.
