Nickelback ist eine Rockband aus Hanna, Alberta in Kanada, die dort 1995 gegründet wurde. Sie besteht aus den Halbbrüdern Chad und Mike Kroeger sowie Daniel Adair und Ryan Peake.

Werdegang

Der Bandname entstand, als Mike Kroeger noch bei Starbucks arbeitete und dort Wechselgeld zurückgab. Da dies aufgrund der Preise so gut wie immer 5 Cent waren, sagte er „Here's your nickel back“ („Hier haben Sie ihren Nickel (5 Cent) zurück“). Sein Bruder Chad hörte das und schlug "Nickelback" als Bandnamen vor. Read more on Last.fm
