The Shop Assistants waren eine Indie Pop-Band aus Schottland, die von 1984 bis 1987 bestand.

1984 in Edinburgh gegründet, wurde die Debütsingle der Shop Assistans von Stephen Pastels produziert. Nachdem Aggi ausstieg und Alex Taylor den Gesang übernahm, änderte die Band ihren Namen von "Buba & The Shop Assistants" in "Shop Assistants".

Als Taylor 1987 ausstieg, um Motorcycle Boy zu gründen, löste sich die Band auf. 1989 folgte eine Reunion mit Sarah Kneale an den Vocals. Read more on Last.fm
