The Beach Boys sind eine der weltweit erfolgreichsten Rock-Bands der 1960er und frühen 1970er Jahre. Sie wurden 1961 von den Brüdern Brian, Dennis und Carl Wilson, ihrem Cousin Mike Love und dem Schulfreund Alan Jardine im kalifornischen Hawthorne gegründet. Bis Mitte der 1960er Jahre verbuchte die Band mit Surfmusik zahlreiche Charterfolge.

Besondere Merkmale ihrer Musik sind einprägsame Melodien und ein differenzierter, häufig vierstimmiger Chorsatz unter Verwendung teilweise ungewöhnlicher Harmoniefolgen. Read more on Last.fm
