Men Without Hats ist der Name einer kanadischen Pop-Band, deren Musik dem New Romantic-Stil zugeordnet wird. Sie hatte ihre größten Erfolge in den 1980er Jahren.

Bandgeschichte

Gegründet 1976 in Montreal (Québec) als Wave 21 benannten sie sich 1977 in Men Without Hats um. Sie tauchten Anfang der 1980er Jahre zu ersten Mal mit der EP Folk of the 80s auf, deren Texte aus dem Folk stammten, während die Melodien Synthie Pop waren.
