The Hooters (hooter – engl. für Hupe, Sirene – ist der bandinterne Spitzname für ihr Markenzeichen, die Hohner Melodika) sind eine US-amerikanische Rockband aus Philadelphia, Pennsylvania. Sie wurde 1980 gegründet. Mit einer Mischung aus Folkrock und Rock mit Einflüssen aus Reggae und Ska konnten sie bereits in ihrer Anfangszeit lokale Erfolge verbuchen.
