Gojira (ehemals „Godzilla“) ist eine Death-Metal-Band, die 1996 in der französischen Stadt Ondres gegründet wurde. Der Name stammt vom japanischen Originaltitel des 1950er-Jahre-Films Godzilla (Gojira). Gojiras Texte haben meist die Erde und Umwelt zum Inhalt und sind spirituell geprägt. Heute sind sie einem breiteren Publikum bekannt und traten schon mit bekannten Bands wie Slayer, Children of Bodom, In Flames, Machine Head und Trivium auf.
