Die US-amerikanische Country-Rock-Band Flying Burrito Brothers wurde 1968 in Los Angeles als Ableger der Byrds von Gram Parsons und Chris Hillman gegründet. Weitere Gründungsmitglieder waren der Pedal Steel Gitarrist Sneaky Pete Kleinow, der Schlagzeuger Jon Corneal und der Bassist Chris Ethridge. Der Vollständigkeit halber muss erwähnt werden, dass es einen 1967 von Ian Dunlop und Mickey Gauvin gebildeten Vorläufer gleichen Namens gab, der aber keine größere Bedeutung erlangte.
