This Ascension is a gothic/ethereal band from Southern California that formed in 1988. They have released four albums on their own label Tess Records from 1989 to 1999. They were influenced by The Cure and The Chameleons. Their debut Tears In Rain earned the band comparisons to Area, Xmal Deutschland, while their later releases move toward the ethereal-gothic realm. The band reunited for a small U.S. Tour in 2004 and broke up shortly after. Dru Allen is involved in various projects including Falling You and Mirabilis. Read more on Last.fm
