The Fall ist eine englische Post-Punk-/Alternative-Rock-Gruppe, die 1976 in Manchester gegründet wurde. Die Band, die nach dem Roman "La Chute" (dt. Der Fall) von Albert Camus benannt wurde, spielte seitdem eine oft herausfordernde Musik in unvorhersagbaren Stilrichtungen.

Im Mittelpunkt der Band stand von Anfang an Mark E. Smith, der auch das einzige konstante Bandmitglied ist. Weitere langjährige Bandmitglieder waren Steve Hanley, Craig Scanlon, Simon Wolstencroft, Karl Burns und Paul Hanley. Read more on Last.fm
