John Martyn (* 11. September 1948 als Ian David McGeachy in New Malden, Surrey, England) war ein britischer Musiker. Er starb am 29. Januar 2009.

1967 nahm er seine erste Platte auf. Er spielte unter anderem mit Phil Collins und Steve Winwood. Seine eigene Musikrichtung ist britischer Folk, gemischt mit Rock und Blues.
