Die Vibrators waren eine der ersten populären Punkrockbands. Ihr größter Hit war "Baby Baby", der von den Toten Hosen auf Ihrem 91'er Album "Learning English Lesson One" gecovert wurde. Berühmt wurde ihr Song "Troops of Tomorrow" (1978) durch die schottische Punkband The Exploited. Ihren ersten Auftritt hatten sie bereits 1976 zusammen mit den legendären Stranglers in einer (heute nicht mehr existierenden) Kunsthochschule in London
