Jordin Sparks wurde am 22. Dezember 1989 in Staten Island, New York City als einzige Tochter von Jodi Wiedmann und Phillippi Sparks, einem ehemaligen Footballspieler, der in der NFL für die New York Giants und Dallas Cowboys spielte, geboren.
