COCO MONTOYA
Der 1951 in Santa Monica geborene Kalifornier war am Beginn seiner Karriere zunächst hinter dem Drumset tätig und tingelte mit zahlreichen lokalen Rockbands umher. Der Zufall wollte es, dass er Mitte der 70er von Bluesgröße Albert Collins einen Job am Schlagzeug angeboten bekam - die folgenden fünf Jahre sollte er Collins Band treu bleiben und erhielt vom "Master of the Telecaster" während dieser Zeit die bluestechnische Grundausbildung.
