Alison Krauss (* 23. Juli 1971 in Decatur, Illinois) ist eine US-amerikanische Sängerin und Fiddlespielerin, die in der Bluegrass-Musik in den 1990er Jahren neue Maßstäbe gesetzt hat. Sie ist auch als Produzentin tätig.


Bereits mit fünf Jahren begann Krauss, Violine zu spielen und klassischen Musikunterricht zu nehmen. Schon bald wurde sie jedoch der Klassik müde und begeisterte sich für Country- und Bluegrass-Licks.
