Katy Perry (* 25. Oktober 1984 in Santa Barbara, Kalifornien; eigentlicher Name Katheryn Elizabeth Hudson) ist eine US-amerikanische Sängerin und Songschreiberin. Weltweit bekannt wurde sie durch ihren Hit "I Kissed a Girl".

Die Liebe zur Musik entdeckte die Pastorentochter während eines Kirchenfestes, da ihr Onkel sie dazu brachte, im örtlichen Gospelchor mitzusingen. Später entdeckte Katy die Band Queen für sich und war sofort von der Stimme des Frontmannes Freddie Mercury begeistert. Read more on Last.fm
