The Shins sind eine US-amerikanische Indie-Pop-Band aus Portland, Oregon, die 1997 in Albuquerque, New Mexico als Nebenprojekt von James Russell Mercer und Neal Langford gegründet wurde. Sie gilt als einer der wichtigsten Vertreter des Indie-Pops. Das erste Album "Oh, Inverted World" wurde am 19. Juni 2001 bei Sub Pop Records veröffentlicht. Nach ihrem Umzug 2002 nach Portland veröffentlichte die Band 2003 ihr zweites Album "Chutes Too Narrow" . Read more on Last.fm
