George Roger Waters (* 6. September 1943 in Great Bookham, Großbritannien) ist Sänger, Bassist, Komponist und Texter. Bekanntheit erlangte er als Gründungsmitglied der britischen Rockgruppe Pink Floyd.

Sein künstlerisches Schaffen zeichnet sich durch eine besonders pessimistische Sicht auf die moderne Gesellschaft aus. Einer der tiefsten Einschnitte in Waters' Leben ereignete sich bereits sehr früh, als sein Vater Eric Fletcher Waters im Zweiten Weltkrieg ums Leben kam. Read more on Last.fm
