Buffalo Springfield war eine einflussreiche Folk- bzw. Country-Rockband aus Los Angeles, die von 1965 bis 1968 drei Alben veröffentlichte.

Die beiden Lead-Gitarristen Neil Young und Stephen Stills kamen durch einen leichten Autounfall zusammen. Bassist Bruce Palmer und Schlagzeuger Dewey Martin waren mit Young bzw. Stills unterwegs.
