Iggy Pop (* 21. April 1947 in Muskegon, Michigan, eigentlich James Newell Osterberg) ist ein US-amerikanischer Sänger, Gitarrist, Komponist, Schlagzeuger und Schauspieler. Der als „Godfather of Punk“ oder „Rock Iguana“ bezeichnete Musiker wird als Wegbereiter und Begleiter des Punk Rock und verwandter Stile angesehen. Pop ist wegen seiner dynamischen bis exzessiven Bühnenpräsenz bekannt - und berüchtigt.
