Roy Kelton Orbison (* 23. April 1936 in Vernon, Texas; † 6. Dezember 1988 in Hendersonville, Tennessee) war ein US-amerikanischer Country- und Rock-Sänger.

Kindheit und Jugend

Geboren in Texas, bekam Roy Orbison seine erste Gitarre im Alter von sechs Jahren. Sein Vater Orbie brachte ihm das Spielen bei. 1942 zog die Familie nach Fort Worth, da Orbisons Vater dort eine Anstellung in einer Munitionsfabrik erhalten hatte.
