Charles Edward Anderson „Chuck“ Berry (* 18. Oktober 1926 in St. Louis, Missouri; † 18. März 2017 in Wentzville, Missouri[1]) war ein US-amerikanischer Sänger, Gitarrist, Komponist und ein Pionier des Rock ’n’ Roll.[2] Er wurde 1985 in die Blues Hall of Fame aufgenommen und 1986 als erstes Mitglied in die Rock and Roll Hall of Fame. Seine Vorbilder waren Nat King Cole, Louis Jordan und Muddy Waters. Chuck Berry gilt als wichtiger Impulsgeber für die Entstehung der Beatmusik und als Erfinder des Duckwalks. Read more on Last.fm
