Prince Rogers Nelson (* 7. Juni 1958 in Minneapolis, Minnesota; † 21. April 2016 in Chanhassen, Minnesota) war ein US-amerikanischer Sänger, Komponist, Songwriter, Multiinstrumentalist, Musikproduzent und Schauspieler.

Prince war seit 1978 im Musikgeschäft tätig. Vor allem in den 1980er Jahren beeinflusste er die internationale Musikszene, indem er unterschiedliche Musikgenres miteinander kombinierte.
