Chavez ist eine US-amerikanische Alternative-Rock / Math-Rock Band aus New York. Die Band gruppierte sich im Jahr 1993 und formierte sich im Jahr 2006 neu.

Sie veröffentlichten zwei unabhängige nicht-Chart-Alben mitte der 90er. Chavez nutzt eckig, asymmetrisch Riffs und dynamische dramatische Verschiebungen.
Frontmann der Band ist Gitarrist Matt Sweeney, Schlagzeuger ist James Lo, Gitarrist Ton Tarver (Kugel Lavolta) und dem Bassisten Scott Marshall. Read more on Last.fm
