T. Rex war eine populäre englische Band, die Marc Bolan 1967 gründete und die sich zunächst Tyrannosaurus Rex nannte und als Duo Marc Bolan (Gitarre) und Steve 'Peregrin' Took (Perkussion) auftrat.

Bandgeschichte

Bolan und Took machten anfangs eine rein akustische, stark an der Psychedelic-Bewegung, die zu der Zeit sehr in Mode war, angelehnte Musik. Aufgrund von Drogenproblemen wurde Took nach einer US-Tour 1969 durch Mickey Finn abgelöst, der zuerst auf dem Album „A Beard of Stars“ zu hören ist. Read more on Last.fm
