The Jam war eine britische Rockband aus Woking, Vereinigtes Königreich. Sie existierte von 1977 bis 1982. Die Band bestand aus Paul Weller, Bruce Foxton und Rick Buckler. Anfänglich war auch noch Gründungsmitglied Steve Brookes dabei, der noch vor der ersten Platte wieder ausstieg.

1977 unterschrieb die Gruppe ihren ersten Plattenvertrag bei Polydor Records und es kam zur Veröffentlichung der ersten Single "In the City". Es folgte das Debutalbum gleichen Titels. Read more on Last.fm
