Iron Maiden [ˈaɪən ˈmeɪdn] (engl. für: „Eiserne Jungfrau“) ist eine britische Musikgruppe, die 1975 gegründet wurde. Sie entwickelte aufbauend auf der Hard Rock- und Heavy Metal-Musik der 1970er Jahre ihren eigenen Stil, der den Heavy Metal der 1980er Jahre mitformte. Ihr gleichnamiges Debütalbum Iron Maiden erschien 1980.

Die Gruppe wird zusammen mit Bands wie Judas Priest, Saxon, Angel Witch, Praying Mantis, Diamond Head, Tygers of Pan Tang und Def Leppard der New Wave of British Heavy Metal zugeordnet. Read more on Last.fm
